“I took off for a weekend last month just to try and recall the whole year…”

Dec 28, 2018

That’s a line from Jimmy Buffet’s Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes…and I sit here writing it on his birthday, Christmas.

“All of the places and all of the faces, wondering where they all disappeared”

To share another quote with you, to frame where I am going with this…

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”- Ferris Bueller

As I enjoy the peace and quiet and joy that this day can bring, I am preparing for my own little sojourn tomorrow, time to look around, a glance in the rear-view mirror, with some co-creating nudging that lies ahead- heading out from Michigan for a coastal trip from Southern to Northern California.

It’s been one of those years- filled with the unexpected, the mystery, the challenges, illuminated possibilities, the highs, and the low’s, and everything in between.

Staring down the barrel of 2019- I can pretty much guarantee I’m standing on a springboard for more of the same…and where I find its ever so important to go with the flow, to have awareness of goals and desires to set the intention, the Universe has plans for us we sometimes cannot see, and its best to just be OK with that.

You don’t need to make a multi-day trip for such a mental sojourn…although I do suggest you change your environment. Get out of the ‘more of the same’- it can be as simple as taking yourself out to a coffee shop, and just watch the goings on around you, maybe a dinner by yourself…time to think, time to be open, time to let some of the outside inspirations we often keep ourselves blocked off from, in.

Thinking I might post this for Saturday, even though its my Sunday Reset with Rob…as I should be heading back home to Michigan Saturday Evening…or…maybe I’ll create an impromptu layover?

Anyway, Happy New Year, may the road ahead be filled with greatness, possibility, fun, love, creativity, and all that you desire- and by all means, embrace the unexpected, there’s a lot to learn there.
